The story Hermes is telling Athena is actually taken from a fable attributed to Aesop. Hermes wanted to know how much people valued him, so he assumed a human form and went into a sculptor’s workshop. There he started to ask how much the statues of the gods would cost. I can see his face when the sculptor told him that he would throw in the Hermes statue for free. XD
