There were several more or less famous people in antiquity named Theodoros (mostly spelled Theodorus in English), among them a philosopher of the Cyrenaic school called Theodoros the Atheist (he was probably not an absolute atheist, though. Just rejecting the popular theology). Anyway, I just named my character Theodoros 'cause I thought it was a nice name. But who knows? Maybe he later turns out to be the same as Theodoros the Atheist...?
"Theodoros" (Θεοδοροσ?) sound more Greek than "Theodorus" which sound more Roman to me
Yes, I don't know why the English spelling is like that. Maybe "Theodorus" is easier to pronounce?
Theodoros means "gift from the god", a real greek name. I always thought it was a christian name. But in fact, it is older than christianty. Thanks for the knowledge. I reaaly apreciate the story. ^ ^
I'm so glad you're enjoying my story. And thanks for the name info. ^^
