There is an italian poem from the renaissance called "the triumph of Bacchus and Ariadne" that matches well with this scene, this is the beginning:
How beautiful is youth, but it flees however! Who wants to be happy, shall be: there is no certainty of tomorrow. These are Bacchus and Ariadne, beautiful, and burning for each other: because time runs away and deceives, always together they are happy.
